This is a lot of a few hundred 6 to 15c large Banknotes (1870 and later). It is on dealer pages with marked retail prices (now 30-40 years old) for many. Marked retail exceeds $1200. The emphasis is good cancellations.

The group includes 60 New York Foreign Mail (NYFM) cancells, identified as to type. These intricate geometrics are avidly collected and studied.  Retail prices are currently are in the neighborhood of $20-25 each for off-cover examples like those in this lot. NYFM cancels were generally NOT included in the marked retail prices, so the total estimated for this lot exceeds $2000!

Condition is mixed but there are lots of nice stamps. An exciting lot for the cancellation collector.
