You are bidding on a vintage US stamp – Scott #292 from the Trans Mississippi series of stamps.  This one is the stamp with a picture of western cattle in a storm.  The back does look like it was hinged at one time.  I am not sure my camera will pick up the remnants of the hinge, but we are selling it as hinged at one time.    
Comments on My Stamp Listings:  We will be listing a large quantity of vintage stamps over the next few months.  These were bought from the estate of a local collector.  Most of the stamps to be listed have been mounted to an album page.  Some will have cancellation marks on them and some will not.  I know nothing about the various descriptions and abbreviations that are used in the stamp collecting hobby.  Therefore our descriptions will simply include the denomination, the year, if known, and the pictorial on the stamp.  The collector was very organized and on most of the stamps in the albums, he included the numbers for each stamp that I believe are from the Scott numbering system.  These numbers will also be included in the description.  I cannot guarantee the accuracy of his numbers.  Please use your own judgment.   As we are totally ignorant of the value of these stamps we will start the listings at a very very low price.  We will try to make a good picture of all of the stamps on the listed album pages. We will be listing all stamps as used, except for those that I know definitely has not been used such as blocks and sheets.  The majority of the stamps will be dated from the late 1800's to the 1930's.  Please check out my other stamp auctions.  Some stamps were being stored in a small plastic pouch which is attached to the album sheet.  I did not remove the stamp from these pouches to take a picture of the back side.  I may have missed something in the descriptions so please look closely at all of the pictures.  If you have a specific question, I will try to answer, but I definitely know nothing about the stamp collecting world and the descriptions used by the collectors of this hobby.  In order to provide a tracking number on the sold items, I will ship everything by USPS Ground advantage.  I do not want to ship by regular USPS letters. Although most of these listings will be below one pound, the USPS will round up to one pound.  There are no guarantees of value on any of these stamp listings.   PLEASE NOTE:  The pictures are part of the descriptions.  We may miss something in our description, so please pay close attention to the pictures. The abbreviations of GUC and EUC in our  descriptions mean Good Used Condition and Excellent Used Condition.
NOTE #2 - We sell mostly pre-owned items.  Therefore, at times they may need additional cleaning than what we would normally do prior to listing our items. 
NOTE #3 - Shipment of small items - Small items such as individual pieces of jewelry or similar size items will be placed in a small jewelry box which will be placed inside a regular size shipping box.  When the actual weight is less than one pound, the USPS rounds the weight up to one pound and will charge shipping accordingly.  This method will be used unless the seller requests a different method of shipping.   Shipping Date:  We try to ship on the next business day after payment is received.  We usually use the USPS shipping service.  We cannot guarantee the actual date that the USPS will deliver your purchase to you, especially during any holiday season.  Combined Shipping - We do combine shipping when our buyers win multiple auctions.  When multiple items are purchased, please give us time to find the right size shipping box and calculate correct shipping prior to payment.  We will send an invoice with the correct shipping charges for your combined purchases.   BuY It Now Policy - Unless specifically mentioned, we prefer to let our auctions continue to the end of the stated auction dates and do not offer the Buy It Now option. PAYMENT AND SHIPPING POLICIES: We ship only to the United States. We prefer to use one of the shipping methods offered by the United States Post Office or the shipping option of FedEx.  WE will use the cheapest of these two options.  Shipping cost will include insurance.   We will ship the next business day after payment is received.  However, we cannot guarantee the delivery times of the United States Post Office.  The buyer will be notified of tracking numbers on all shipments.
