Feldpost to Mrs Greti Laub in Neustadt at the Weinstrasse, Rathaus street 19, (Gau Westmark)
Sender: First Private Emil Laub, Feldpost # 04614
Stalingrad, November 17, 1942
Dear Greti !
Today just a quick sign of life from me. I am well and that is the most important thing! I don't know if you follow the Wehrmacht report at home, because there is a report about the heavy fighting here. We here have special orders to carry out. Please keep both fingers crossed that we will win this important victory! It is about our beloved fatherland! Soon it will be Yule (Christmas), maybe by then everything will be over! Victory and Hail, Emil
